Video Competition
- General Practitioner, Resident, or Ophthalmologist
MEDICAL STUDENT / GENERAL PRACTITIONER Scientific Paper Competition
- All scientific works completed when the author is still a medical student or working as general practitioner, and he/she has not yet enrolled the residency program during the event.
- Oral Presentation
- presented in front of the audience and the jury using PPT or keynote presentation
- Participants must submit the full paper and pre-recorded presentation, via online platform that will be determined by committee
- Consists of observational research, experimental research, systematic review, meta-analysis, literature review, and qualitative study
- Poster Presentation
- presented in front of the audience and the jury using PPT or keynote presentation
- Participants must submit the e-poster and pre-recorded presentation, via online platform that will be determined by committee
- presented in the form of e-poster
- consists of case reports, case series and research
RESIDENT Scientific Paper Competition
- All scientific works completed when the author is still undergoing the residency program, and presented not more than 2 years after graduation.
- Oral Presentation
- presented in front of the audience and the jury using PPT or keynote presentation
- Participants must submit the full paper and pre-recorded presentation, via online platform that will be determined by committee
- Divided into 2 (two) categories:
- Observational research (including meta-analysis, systematic review, literature review, and qualitative study)
- Experimental research
- Poster Presentation
- Participants must submit the e-poster and pre-recorded presentation, via online platform that will be determined by committee
- consists of case reports, case series and research
OPHTHALMOLOGIST Scientific Paper Competition
- All scientific works completed when the author has become an ophthalmologist
- Oral Presentation
- presented in front of the audience and the jury using PPT or keynote presentation
- Participants must submit the full paper and pre-recorded presentation, via online platform that will be determined by committee
- Consists of observational research, experimental research, systematic review, meta-analysis, literature review, and qualitative study
- Poster Presentation
- presented in the form of e-poster
- Participants must submit the e-poster and pre-recorded presentation, via online platform that will be determined by committee
- consists of case reports, case series and research
ORAL PRESENTATION
Abstract
- Participants must submit abstracts via website with the following format:
- All abstracts must be submitted in Englishwith the following headings: Introduction and Objective, Methods, Result, Conclusion, dan Keywords
- The abstract must not exceed 250 words (excluding keywords)
- The abstract must be received by April 14th, 2023 (23.59 Western Indonesia Time)
- Scientific works has never been presented or published in any journal
- Abstracts are uploaded via website https://pit48.perdami.or.id
- The first author must register online before submitting the abstract and upload the abstract from their account
- If the abstract format did not follow the requirements, the participants will not be included in the competition without any notification
Full Paper
- Participants must submit the full paper with the following format:
- Full paper must be submitted in Indonesian or English using Microsoft Word Document with 2-column page (published format)
- Full paper must be written in A4 paper size and restricted to 7 (seven) pages, including references
- Full paper: Font: Arial; Font size: 11pt; Line spacing: single-spaced. References: Font: Arial; Font size: 8pt; Line spacing: single-spaced
- Full paper begin with an abstract in English and written in one column.
- Title must be accompanied by author’s name and institution’s origin
- The title must be brief, concise, and in written in capital letters
- Full paper must be received before by May 31st, 2023 (23.59 Western Indonesia Time)
- Full paper are uploaded with PDF format via website https://pit48.perdami.or.id
- If the full paper format did not follow the requirements, the participants will not be included in the competition without any notification
Pre-recorded Presentation for Free Paper Competition
- Participants must prepare presentation slides in English and present it in English.
- Participants must record the presentation with the duration of maximum 6 (six minutes) using Zoom platform.
- Participants are not allowed to include any institution or affiliation name and logo in the presentation slides (For the blinding purpose)
- Deadline for submitting the free paper prerecorded presentations has been extended. The new submission deadline is now June 4th, 2023, at 18:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). For those participants who have not yet submitted their prerecorded presentations following the latest guidelines and requirements provided, https://bit.ly/fpvideopit48perdami with the file name format: Abstract Code-First Author (Ex: IGS-FP-O-1-Budi Santoso).
- Participants are required to submit pre-recorded presentations video only (the ppt slide file do not need to be submitted).
- There will be live discussion via Zoom platform with the duration 2 minutes
- If the recorded presentation and duration did not follow the requirements, the participants will not be included in the competition without any notification
- Judging will be based on abstract, full paper, presentation and live discussion session
- The selected top ten participants for each category will be invited to present their paper during the offline event (free paper plenary session), followed by a discussion session with the judges.
- During the offline event (plenary session), participants are allowed to include any institution or affiliation name and logo in the presentation slides.
E-POSTER PRESENTATION
Abstract

- Research: Introduction and Objective, Methods, Result, Conclusion, Keywords

E-Poster
- Participants must send the e-poster in English with the following format:
- Consist of:
- Case report / case series: Title, Authors and Institution, Introduction, Case Illustration (including diagram, table, and picture), Discussion, Conclusion, References
- Research: Title, Authors and Institution, Introduction and Objective, Methods, Result (including diagram, table, and picture), Conclusion, References
- For the references, write at least 3 references in the last 5 years
- E-posters must be submitted in JPG format, Potrait view, minimum font size of 6pt, file size less than 5 MB, and uploaded via website https://pit48.perdami.or.id (template for e-poster is provided in this link https://rb.gy/73pds)
- The layout of the e-poster template is an example for the participants to follow, participants are free to use the space within this template as they wish (e.g. design colors, font sizes and styles, alignment and space utilization), however the PIT 48th PERDAMI branding at the top and bottom of the template are mandatory and must be included.
- Participants are not allowed to include any institution or affiliation logo in the e-poster.
- The template has been configured to be the correct size for e-poster display.
- All text, lettering, diagrams and photographs should be large enough to be legible at a distance of 1.5m.
- E-poster must be received before by May 31st, 2023 (23.59 Western Indonesia Time)
- If the e-poster has not been received by the committee according to deadline, the participant will be disqualified
Pre-recorded Presentation for E-poster Presentation
- Participants are required to prepare a prerecorded video showcasing their e-poster presentation (It is not necessary to prepare presentation slides, participants can present directly from the e-poster)
- Participants must record a video presentation while sharing the e-poster screen with the duration of 5 (five) minutes using Zoom platform.
- Deadline for submitting the e-poster prerecorded presentations has been extended. The new submission deadline is now June 4th, 2023, at 18:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). For those participants who have not yet submitted their prerecorded presentations following the latest guidelines and requirements provided on the website (https://bit.ly/eposterpit48perdami) with Subject: Presentation_[abstract number]_[First author’s name]
- If the recorded presentation and duration did not follow the requirements, the participants will not be included in the competition without any notification.
- All e-posters prerecorded presentations will be accessible and displayed on the website https://pit48.perdami.or.id
- Judging will be based on abstract, e-poster’s content and view and the presentation.
- The top selected participants will present their e-poster during the offline event (plenary session), followed by a discussion session with the judges.
VIDEO Competition
- Video competition is opened for any participants (general practitioner, resident, or ophthalmologist)
- Authors may submit a video that is produced following the theme of 48th PIT PERDAMI: MULIH (Moving Upon the Latest Innovation in Holistic Eyecare)
- Video may include either scientific or general interest content
- Video that has been presented in other meetings will not be considered
- Maximum duration of the submitted video is 3 (three) minutes and is submitted in MP4 format
- Video is submitted via Google Drive link provided on the website (https://bit.ly/videocompetitionPIT48) by April 30th, 2023 (23.59 Western Indonesia Time) with file naming format: Video_[First author’s name]
- Videos will be evaluated based on suitability with themes, educational values, originality, quality, conciseness, audio-visual effects, and editing skills.
